Dear Diary,
It’s Thirsty Thursday once more and for old time sake, I opted for one of my favorite drinks, The Virgin Mary. I have been drinking Virgin Marys, rimmed with lime and salt, topped with olives, and a splash of Tabasco sauce since I was a kiddo! Things haven’y changed much. I still love myself a Virgin Mary drink! It is healthier than the alcohol version, but slightly on the salty side so drinker beware.
Instead of blending my own drinks at home today, I took a break from creating and took a stroll to with my love to Stanley and Seafort’s. This steak, chop, and fish house is one of my favorite restaurant chains that I’ve been going to for years and years. It was nice to be at another Seafort’s restaurant again.
Below are photos of my Thirsty Thursday, featuring Stanley & Seafort’s Virgin Bloody Mary.
Cheers ♡

Dear Diary,
Say hello to this healthy mixer made for a warm evening. This drink is named Summer Kiss, made with a twist of freshly juiced orange, pineapple, celery, cucumber, ginger, and a blend of mango puree to sweeten it up. So refreshing and nourishing to my body.

Dear Diary,
As promised, today is Thirsty Thursday and I am off blending and juicing up a storm in the kitchen. Every week until the end of 2020 (excluding Thanksgiving), I will be juicing and blending fruits and vegetables in a personal challenge to be healthier. This Thirsty Thursday is a little extra special because my love is joining in on all the fun, in which I’ll be preparing us a healthy menu for two.
My love has been off on a commercial fishing vessel most of summer yet. Given the circumstances of working on a boat, he often lacks the luxury of fresh ingredients such as fruits and veggies on board. Because he has been without vitamins and mineral nutrients found in leafy greens and other fruits, I think its high time that we supercharge him with healthy juices from today’s Thirsty Thursday.

Dear Diary,
I have been wanting to drink up the rest of my watermelon juice since obsessing over Harry Styles’ hit song, Watermelon Sugar. Reason why I have not consumed my giant watermelon completely is because there was too much of it for one person. I tried to eat it all up one day, but became overwhelmed; It is unbelievable how much watermelon and juice there was! But with this timely start up of Thirsty Thursdays, I am using the remaining juice to my big ol’ fruit to make this mouthwatering concoction, the Healthyish Watermelon Margarita. Recipe and photo to follow.

Healthyish Watermelon Margarita
Ingredients
4 cups of fresh watermelon
1 cup of distilled water
1 wedge of lemon
1 tablespoon of Tajin Spice Mix
1 cup of ice
Instructions
Place fruit into your juicer. After juice is extracted, add water to fresh watermelon juice. Rim a glass with Tajin. Serve over ice. Sprinkle Tajin as desired.
Until next Thursday… I’ll be planning a breakfast, snack, lunch, and dinner Thirsty Thursday special for two!

Dear Diary,
Back while I was attending university, there used to be a thing us gals would do on Thursdays. Because classes were seldom held on Fridays, our Thursdays were treated like our Fridays, so we celebrated the end of the study week with a night on the town, as we would call them — Thirsty Thursdays. Now that I am a little older and wiser, I thought of a new spin on this Thirsty Thursday. Instead of spending nights downtown with the gals, my tastes in life have changed into something perhaps more healthy and nutritious.
Since I am thirsting for an opportunity to get back into juicing again since my Juiciest June, (which you can read all about it here), let this be new thing of mine. Every Thursday until the end of this year 2020 (except Thanksgiving), I will feature a Thirsty Thursday drink I made at home.
To kick it off, this is my first toast to Thirsty Thursdays!
Veggie Apple Juice
Ingredients
1/3 cup of wheat grass (chopped)
1 cup of apples
1 stick of celery
1/3 cup of garden greens & spinach
1/4 of a lemon
1/4 of a tomato
1 finger size of ginger
Instructions
Place vegetable, fruit, and herb items into your juicer. After juice is extracted, chill the juice. Serve.
This was a sour and tangly vegetable blend which was exactly what I was in the mood for! That’s it for now. Cheers!
