Dear Diary,
Traveling to the British Territory ‘West Indies’ providence of Turks and Caicos opened my eyes to the warmest tropical waters that my body has ever felt and the clearest most jaw dropping gorgeous blue ocean that my eyes have ever seen. In between riding horses on the beach and jetskiing around the island, this place provided such a memorable time for us as we travelled here to celebrate our first year of marriage. Woohoo! One down, forever to go. Turks and Caicos provided a perfect paradise retreat.
I couldn’t believe how dipping into the Atlantic ocean around the islands felt like a warm salty sea bath with the beaming sun overhead and temperate breeze. The temperature did cause my skin to feel damp and a little sticky from the humidity, but I figured out that wearing a bikini almost every day helped. Also the whole time, my hair was a frizzy mess. Still I figured it out fixing my hair with some boho braids or just let it go wild anyway :p!
While the island was quiet and calm mostly devoid of heavy tourist crowds (thankfully!), there was a fair amount of night life to spice up our evenings and an excellent music scene. Nearly every place we wined and dined at had live music entertainment of tropical reggaeton music. The photos below were some of our favorites from this trip!

I will truly miss this lovely place! The day we departed the island, I almost started crying. I got that feeling of realizing that one day if I return, the people, the place, and I will never be as I was in this very moment. I was overcome with nostalgia..
