The Empress in Victoria

Dear Diary,

Sometimes I wonder, if this is what dreams are really made of… The perfect winter day touring around the island of Victoria. It was only a steamship away from the Port of Seattle where we departed on the Clipper Epic, to make way to a new country for a celebration of the new year.

And here we found ourselves, enjoying afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress.

Here I was, taking in every bit of dainty and regal detail of the tea room. This is the colorful pattern on the china used to serve us our elegant tea time finger foods. I felt sophisticated and like a princess simply eating these delightful bites.
