Dear Diary,

We were two little girls. We were best friends, always hand-in-hand. We share the same parents, same blood, same genes, clothes, mannerisms, and almost the same voice. We went from playing school together with our siblings to ‘running away from home’, until we finally grew up and started eventually pursuing the dreams in our hearts together.

This week my sister reached a milestone of finishing nearly a decade of commitment to medical sciences and study of medicine. Words can barely describe the joy I have for my dear sissy.

I am so proud of her.. She’s our first doctor in the family

Through this journey of yours, I can only imagine the roads you travelled alone and the countless nights of dissecting material to master the concepts and practice of medicine. I am proud of you for your courage and strength to come this far. I can see the sacrifices you have made to become who you are, to create a life where you are doing exactly what you were born to do.
