Dear Diary,
To my surprise, I stumbled upon a place called “Washington Island” nestled in the Midwest. Yes, I did say the Midwest! It was here where I found myself roaming these fragrant lavender aislesΒ @fragrantisle_lavenderfarmΒ / https://fragrantisle.com/. πΎπ With Taylor Swift on her ERAs tour taking the world by a storm, I couldn’t help but also sing along and play the #swiftie favorite song Lavender Haze on repeat, with different renditions of the song–from piano versions, acoustic, and other creative and upbeat remixes.
When I finally reached the Fragrant Isle, I wandered the fields freely to admire the scents and types of lavender avaialble. I had an iced lavender latte + lavender flavored and colored macaroon. Later, I bought a lavender mint kombucha for my husband.. there were bees, butterflies, and rows of lavender planted so nicely in the fields while filling the air with such a calming and aromatic scent. The gift shop had tons of other goodies too, but Iβm packing lightly these days so didn’t pack up many items from there! It was wonderful here. I didnβt want to leaveβ¦this place is love.
A really interesting fact about the developers of this place includes that one business partner used to be responsible for engineering and designs of McDonald’s restaurants all over the world. Some how, the owners have now masterminded a development to now present this beautiful garden and attraction on Washington Island of the midwest. This tourist attraction is free and open to the public. How thankful I am to have visited this special and thoughtfully made fragrant oasis.
…I just wanna stay in that lavender haze
-Swiftie
