Dear Diary,
Hoorayyy…It’s self-care Sunday! After a busy holiday week with family and juggling other professional obligations, my mind was swimming in luscious thoughts of how I am going to pamper myself. Today, I took some extra time to do exactly so.
Since we have entered a new season I gathered a list of self-care must haves for the summer. Below is the comprehensive list covering my self-care and pampering needs from head-to-toe!
I am just going to say... Summer glow never looked, felt,
smelled, and tasted this good.

I swear by Marula Oil Shampoo and Conditioner as the best therapy for my hair since one of my old girlfriends from Anchorage, Alaska recommended this. Then I tame my wild hair with this sleeking and shine spray.

My facial self-care routine is very simple; it’s all about cleansing and moisturizing my skin. I also stay away from as much makeup as I can most of the week, so that my skin and pores can breathe without gunk on it. It feels wonderful to be bare and beautiful.
For a healthy summer glow, there are a few things I’ve integrated into my facial skin care routine. I switched my usual heavier cream-to-mousse face wash with a lighter non-toxic gel face cleanser from Jessica Alba’s Honest Company. Once cleaned, I move on to a face mask. Every now and then, I love to mix up my face masks changing between a refreshing deep clean one to a moisturizing one, depending on what my skin needs. For example, if I got really dirty one week, then I would use the mud mask. If it was a lighter duty week on my skin, then I would use the other Lab Masks or the 24K Gold Mask to pamper my skin.
Once I am done with my cleansing and masks, I spritz this all natural rose water on my face for a bit of aromatherapy and astringent action that comes from its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This stuff smells so pretty. It’s a perfect touch on a warm summer day.
After my rose water spritz, I use this summery Glow Recipe Watermelon Serum as a first coat on my clean skin, which does indeed give my face a nice glow!
Last but not least, my last essential for my summer skin is a moisturizer lotion with at least SPF 35 for protection from increased sun exposure. The Australian Gold Sunscreen linked above is SPF 50, and is made from Australian Botanicals — Kakadu Plum, Eucalyptus and Red Algae form a unique combination of antioxidant rich botanicals.

I can’t help but want to use this for my lips over and over again! After applying this balm to my lips, they stay so moist, plump, and taste sweet allll day long. This is no ordinary lip balm. Also, Glow Recipe is one of my favorite natural beauty and skin products on the market, which makes this lip balm “a must” for sure.

These lavender and vanilla scents are so dreamy and relaxing. Sometimes I mix them both up for a little fusion of bliss. I literally feel like a queen soaking in and lathering up in these washes and oils. And oh my goodness..! The Eucalyptus Epsom Salt is great for those sore bodies who need a little bit of healing. I do this about once every week, depending on various pains that need tending to. The scent of this epsom salt is very refreshing and soothing at the same time. My mind suddenly relaxes and thoughts go little something like…
โ breath it all in,
love it all out โ
Oh, don’t forget to wrap yourself up in one of these when done soaking your body in soothing scents and oils. I feel, every woman needs a robe to wear on lazy days and to feel comfortable, relaxed and sexy in. I enjoy having two styles to select from, based on what mood I am in – comfy or sultry ; )

To complete my self-care routine, I cannot forget to cover my hands, nails, and toes. One of my essentials for decorating my nails are with these Sally Hansen Insta-Dri’s. I’ve always got things to do, so the sooner the paint dries, the quicker I can move along. Also, there’s such a variety of colors to choose from to select for my nails. With that, below are my colors for the season. Additionally, I’ve added some other soothing products and tools for washing, scrubbing, and soothings those digits and piglets.
I love giving myself home manicures and pedicures. It can be so simple to do. On top of that, doing this at home versus the salon is highly cost effective. I even sometimes make a little party out of it and paint my gfs’, nieces’, and mommy’s nails. Nothing like sharing and caring for your girls, which is made possible when you have these quality and cost-friendly polishes at your disposal.
